You’ll also learn correct demagnetization techniques, field strength verification, lighting requirements, surface preparation standards, and best practices for documentation and report completion in accordance with applicable codes and standards. In this Hands-on Course, we cover how to:

• •Inspect various type of components and identify discontinuities that are specific to each manufacturing process
• •Be knowledgeable of where to obtain specific parameters for the inspection report

• •Perform required process verification checks in accordance with ASTM E-709 and E-1444
• •Verify equipment performance, field strength, lighting conditions, and overall system effectiveness
• •Inspect a variety of component types and recognize discontinuities associated with different manufacturing processes
• •Accurately identify relevant indications such as cracks, seams, laps, and lack of fusion
• •Differentiate relevant indications from non-relevant and false indications
• •Understand proper surface preparation and demagnetization techniques
• •Locate and apply the correct inspection parameters from procedures, codes, standards, and customer requirements

The course includes 8 hours of hands-on training. Upon successful completion, participants will receive 8 total hours of accredited classroom training and a Classroom Certificate, with knowledge assessed through an exam.
